THAILAND – A Testimony of Growth Through Bible Study
One of the ministries of Mission Ventures Thailand (MVT) is to strengthen believers and local church workers through biblical education and training.
Through the MVT Bible Institute, students from local churches have the opportunity to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and be better equipped to serve in their churches and communities.
Picharat Dechraksa, from MV Nong Bua Lamphu Church, is currently studying in the CCM program (Certificate of Christian Ministry (CCM) at MVT Bible Institute.
Before joining the program, she was already serving God in her local church according to the gifts He had given her.
Through her studies, however, she has gained a deeper understanding of God’s Word and has begun to see more clearly how the gifts and abilities God gives us can be used in many different ways to serve Him
Picharat shared: “Through my studies, I have learned more about God from different perspectives, and I have come to see that we can serve Him with whatever we have and with the gifts He has given us.”
Her journey has not always been easy. Picharat also needs to work and sell goods to earn a living, and sometimes her working hours conflict with her class schedule. Despite these challenges, she continues to study and remains encouraged by God’s love and care.
In her own words: “What keeps me encouraged in my studies is the love and mercy God has shown to me and my family, and His care for our family.”
Picharat also had the opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony for the first group of CCM graduates. While she herself is still continuing her studies, seeing others complete the program was a joyful and encouraging experience.
As she looks to the future, Picharat hopes to use both what she is learning and the gifts God has given her in practical ways—sharing the Gospel, caring for fellow believers, serving in the church, and even through simple acts of service such as preparing food, cleaning, and helping care for the church.
After completing the CCM program, she hopes to continue her studies in the CCL program (Certificate of Christian Leadership), with a desire to learn more about God’s love and to prepare herself for future ministry.
She describes her heart for the future simply: “My desire is to care for and serve the brothers and sisters in the church and to share the Gospel of God.”
We praise and thank God for what He is doing in Picharat’s life. Her story is one example of how God is using the MVT Bible Institute, a ministry under Mission Ventures Thailand, to help strengthen believers from local churches in His Word and equip them to serve faithfully where He has placed them.
Please join us in thanking God for Picharat and for all the students currently studying at MVT Bible Institute. We also pray that God will continue to give them strength, wisdom, and perseverance as they study His Word and prepare to serve their churches and communities for His glory.
