PHILIPPINES – Clean Water for Mangyan Communities

Since our last post, we learned from Ps Danny Macuha that two other communities in Occidental (West) Mindoro have been affected by further storms, flooding and landslides over the recent weeks. More than 90 families are unable to access safe drinking water and have requested urgent assistance.

PHILIPPINES – Devastating Impact of Typhoon Kristine

We are writing to share an update on the devastating impact of Typhoon Kristine and the ongoing rescue efforts in affected areas. The storm has caused severe flooding and destruction, particularly in the Bicol Region, Region 4a (my place) and some part of Luzon.

Entire communities have been submerged, with families displaced and homes destroyed. Mindoro Island was affected some areas are submerged due to heavy rain.
